Just a Reflection of You
I saw your shadow in the morning light,
Caught in the window, soft and slight.
For a moment, I reached for your hand,
But it faded like dreams written in sand.
Your laughter lingers in the quiet room,
A melody wrapped in a faded perfume.
I speak your name, but no one replies,
Just the hush of time and the echo of sighs.
You’re just a reflection of you,
In every mirror my heart looks through.
A ghost in the glass, a whisper that stays,
A love that never truly fades.
No matter what I try to do,
You're always just a reflection… of you.
I pass the café where we used to meet,
Two chairs still sitting, bittersweet.
Your coffee order still haunts my tongue,
A song of sorrow forever unsung.
I don’t chase ghosts, but you haunt me still,
A silent ache I can’t quite kill.
You live in moments that no one sees,
A thousand memories inside of me.
You’re just a reflection of you,
In every tear the moon shines through.
A touch I miss, a voice I knew,
But it’s only the silence holding true.
I reach across the midnight blue…
But you’re only a reflection… of you.
